Ross Conner

ST. LOUIS (August 24, 2022) – The Doe Run Company (Doe Run) announces the hiring of J. Ross Conner, vice president – metals and exploration. Conner joins the company’s executive team in providing strategic direction for the organization, with a particular emphasis in exploration activities and sustainable metal production at the company’s Resource Recycling facility.

Conner is no stranger to Doe Run, as he previously served as vice president – exploration and development from 2010 to 2019. During his tenure, Conner oversaw development of hydromet technologies for lead metal processing at the company’s Research and Technology Center. Many of these technologies are in various stages of development.

He has a long history of overseeing our work in hydrometallurgy, and his leadership and technical skills are a great asset to our organization.”

A seasoned leader, Conner brings over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. Most recently, he served as a consultant vice president of mining services for the Railveyor Technology Group. Throughout his career, Conner has overseen all aspects of the mining business, including exploration, geology, underground mine production, smelting, environmental systems and sustainable development initiatives.

Conner earned a bachelor’s degree in specialist geology from Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba, and a master’s degree in environment and management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia.
